It’s right around this time of the year that I freak out a little bit.  I can feel the days getting shorter, temperatures drop.  I am a creature of the tropics (even though I’ve never lived anywhere near anything tropical my entire life). I need the sun cause without it I get kind of lonely.  But before I get too mopey here, this post is really about the warmth and fuzzyness that certain fashions bring during these trying months.  I find myself seeking the coziest, most oversized of things to provide the physical and emotional comfort I need (dramatic much?). So i’ll let this post be about the coat of blanket variety.  You can go southwest with it, lumberjack (via some of the buffalo plaid kinds), or hippie.  The choice is yours. I like it all :)

Outfit Notes: Vintage blanket coat (cape) you can purchase here. UO skinny Jeans (old); Justin roper lace up boots; Thrifted silver bracelet; H&M ring; Tiffany’s Ring. Borrowed Bench.

Some things you may love if you are into this look:

You can find this avant garde wool blanket hooded coat here.

If you can’t see yourself commiting to a full coat then perhaps a vest will do the trick?

You can find this southwest beauty here.

And for those who aren’t afraid to go all out with it

Get cozyfied with this here.
