So, you’ve been perusing the likes of OkCupid, Jdate, and the occasional bar, club, lounge deal,  for a man to treat you right.
And at last, you meet someone you wouldn’t mind talking to for more than ten minutes.  What to wear? He’s smart, sophisticated and has impeccable taste, so you want to look the part.
Take a look at my idea of the perfect first date outfit.

First and foremost. The shoe.
We want to keep it stylish, semi-comfortable (no one wants to trip on a first date (although it looks cute in movies), and most of all height boosting, leg shaping… etc etc.

These delicious pumps by Alice & Olivia are sensible yet sexy and sophisticated as all hell. They exude confidence but also a sense of fun and flavor. And a little toe cleavage never hurt a damn soul.  They can be purchased Here.

Next up, the top.  Here things might get a little controversial.  For I am all about exerting just enough power and confidence, rather than submission, on the first date.  It says: you can’t and won’t be pushing me around mister.  You’ll treat me like an (equal) lady.  What better way to say that than wearing a men’s inspired look?

This update on the camo print is irresistible and says I can hang, just like the boys. This Wallace & Barnes top can be purchased Here.

In order not to scare the boy away (as they tend to be intimidated by too much confidence and cool) let’s give them something to pine for in this tiny leather pleated skirt.

You can find this little leather number by Alice & Olivia Here.

Last but not least, the jewels.  I have recently fallen in love with the jewelry designer Lizzie Fortunato, as it encompasses the perfect mesh of earthy, trendy, fun and flirty. This particular piece is from their Resort 2013 line.

I love the idea of this collar necklace poking through the camo shirt.  So sexy it’s not even funny. Find this piece Here.

What’s your idea of  the perfect date look?
